Privacy Policy

Promethic is built by Soulware Studio LLC. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We keep things straightforward — no walls of legalese.

Data We Collect

• Account information — your email address, used for authentication and account recovery.
• Usage metrics — conversion counts, timing, and cost tracking. These are operational metrics only. We do not log prompt content, user input, or output text in production.
• Cloud-synced content — if you opt in to cloud storage, your prompts, versions, records, and deltas are stored on our servers so you can access them across devices.
• Attachments — text and image attachments associated with cloud-stored prompts are stored in our cloud object storage.

What We Do Not Collect

Promethic does not log prompt content or user input in production. The app includes optional debug logging that can capture content for local troubleshooting, but this is strictly opt-in, runs only on your machine, and is never transmitted to our servers.

Third-Party Services

Promethic integrates with the following third-party services to function:

• OpenAI — when you run a prompt, your input and prompt instructions are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI's handling of this data is governed by their privacy policy.
• Supabase — provides authentication services (sign-up, sign-in, password reset).
• Fly.io — hosts the Promethic backend API and website.
• Tigris (S3-compatible) — stores cloud attachments (text and image files associated with your prompts).

Data Retention

• Cloud data is persisted for as long as your account remains active.
• Soft-deleted data (prompts and records you delete) is removed permanently after 30 days.
• Local data is stored entirely on your machine. We have no access to it and do not transmit it.

Your Rights

• Export — you can export your prompts and data directly from the Promethic app at any time.
• Deletion — to delete your account and all associated cloud data, contact us at support@getpromethic.com.
• Local control — prompts stored locally never leave your machine. You can use Promethic in local-only mode without syncing to the cloud.

Security

All communication between the Promethic app and our servers uses HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device and refreshed automatically. We do not store your password in plain text.

Changes to This Policy

Promethic is currently in beta. We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision.
